It can be easy to get stuck in a rut and, once you're there, it can be tough to get out. But, if you look for it, you can find motivation for yourself and others all around you. And, in this post, I'd like to show you some ways to do so.
It's important to keep in mind, however, that motivation can mean different things to different people. What motivates one person may do little for the next. This is why, as much as possible, motivation should be personalized.
What to Look for When Motivating Others
If you do not know what others like, it can be difficult to get through to others and motivate them. So, rather than showing others what motivates you - which might not work for them - teach them how to look for the motivation they seek.
Because once someone knows what to look for, they'll be able to see motivation everywhere they look for it. And it is a valuable skill that they'll possess all of their life.
With that in mind, please consider the following seven ways to motivate yourself and others:
1. Break down a large project into smaller more doable steps. This leads to less overwhelm and a feeling of accomplishment as you complete the smaller steps.
2. Act as if. If you don’t feel motivated, simply act like you do. Interestingly, within a short time you'll actually begin to feel more motivated.
3. Do the hardest job first. This helps to ease much of your day-to-day worries and raises your confidence level for the rest of the day.
4. Think, look, and listen "outside of the box" for any new ideas and opinions that can help you along the way.
5. Ask others what motivates them and look for ways that those things may help you as well.
6. Take a class in something that you've never done before or learn a language you want to learn.
7. Travel somewhere that you have never been to see the culture and beauty there.
Don't Stop Working On Your Motivation
Admittedly, motivation seems to come more easily for some people than others. Because of that, some people can quickly find motivation while others remain in a pattern of thinking that tells them such emotions are out of their grasp.
But don't give up, because motivation is within your reach, if you'll just make the conscious decision to leave your comfort zone and try, really try. Be willing to make mistakes, look silly sometimes, and live life to the fullest.
Motivation is as close as your next decision to try something new. You deserve all that life has to offer. It's up to you to decide to do so though. Why not make that choice today?
Well, that's it for now. As aIways, I hope that you find this information useful and it helps you to go as far as you want in life..."No Matter What!"
Until next time...
Keep reaching,
Jay
